11 years today!!

Today marks our Wedding Anniversary for the 11th time. Yes 11 years ago I married my best friend for ever and eternity. It's amazing to reflect back on all the good times that bring a smile to my face. It's an incredible journey and I wouldn't have wanted to be with anyone else. Bryan is such a good man and I knew that the minute I met him. It was pretty much love at first sight. The first time I saw him it was as though the room and time stood still and all I could see was him. He describes the first time he saw me the very same. In heaven I believe we set up a secret code so we would know when we had found each other. . . . gummy peaches! It's a long story, but seriously it is true. . . . another sign was his motorcycle :)Not only did I marry an incredible person to spend my life and eternity with, but his family is so great! I gained an extension of my own family and felt like I fit in and was loved. His family has done so much for us through these 11 years that I can't even begin to show my love and gratitude for such wonderful in-laws.

We have not been able to start our family and perhaps we may not in this life. However I am happy with the life I have been given. I am happy every day I get to spend time with my best friend. It's been a roller coaster of a ride, but I wouldn't trade one moment of it. I am more in love with Bryan now than the day that photo above was taken, which I didn't think was possible then. When you love and are loved in return there's nothing you can't do together!

Bryan is my best friend and no one comes between us. He is my first priority and I am his. Real Love Stories Never Have Endings......It's been an amazing 11 years and I pray and hope for at least 11 more. But either way, we will be together for all eternity. I will be with my best friend who knows me better than anyone else in this world and that is a happy thought!

My Testimony

It's hard to put into words how I feel toward my Heavenly Father and the Savior. I have so many reasons to be thankful for what I have gone through & endured. Because of my trials in life I have gained a strong testimony of Faith. I have always had Faith in the Lord and in Prayer. As I faced the decision to get a double lung transplant I had to rely on faith to make the choice.....By listening to the spirit, I was guided to Pittsburgh where my life was saved. I believe prayers are answered. I have always tried to follow the philosophy of this: If I do what the Lord expects of me, he will give me what I want & need. That has always worked for me. I Believe in MIRACLES..........My life on this earth is a miracle- I prayed on my knees for years to be healed from my lung disease. I knew that through a priesthood blessing (if it was God's will) I could be healed. So many times I thought he would heal me instantly...my faith was tested as I continued to get sick and no cure was in my future. I turned to prayer....I talked to my Heavenly Father, I cried to him and he heard me and he healed me by guiding me to Pittsburgh and guiding the surgeons hands. I learned humility, and thankfulness. I realized that we need others to lean on and we are supposed to strengthen each others testimonies. I learned that the hardest things we'll do are usually the greatest blessings in our life. I was able to experience a lot of things during surgery and I know I had comforting angels in my ICU room. THe Lord knows each of us by name and he will never leave our side. We need to remember to stay close to him and have Faith that he is watching over us. I know this for a fact! I know that following the gospel will bring us true happiness- the world will tell us otherwise, but I know I am truely happy & living the gospel has brought me that. Amen
