Hi! We are not on our way home....well we are, but we had to take a flight out of Pittsburgh to Boston then on to Phoenix.........but we got a little stuck in Boston! My uncle Mike lives in New England, CT. We are getting to see a lot of great places that we would had never seen if not for the Transplant! So many Blessings! I am like a worried mother & wish to be home with my 6 little babies and my big baby Bella!! 
New England, CT - I am on a Beach....and it's COLD!
I have had a great experience this trip to Pittsburgh! While we were there they had a Lung/Heart Transplant patient appreciation day. They invited us to a great "fancy" dinner event at Heinz Field! There were a lot of transplant recipients there. Some of them were 20+ years along with woman who received a lung transplant last month! Dr. Pilewski was one of the speakers and I was honored when he spoke of their attitude of "why not" and why they take on extreme and difficult cases that no other hospitals will consider! He mentioned two cases in particular and when I heard him say "We had this one case where a young woman showed up at our doorstep from Idaho after having been turned down by several other hospitals. Her husband put her on a plane and flew to Pittsburgh. She was very sick and had to be put on a ventilator after her arrival. She received lungs within the week. She is here almost a year later!" Pittsburgh is AMAZING! They have doctors that invented many of the breakthrough techniques and are largest transplant center in the WORLD!! I felt so honored to be a part of Pittsburgh and be one of their "why nots" and they were so generous and dedicated to have saved my life! I have Pictures!! I will post them when I get home, sorry you'll have to wait. I could go on for a long time...but my fingers will cramp up! All I have to say is the Lord Blessed me by giving me such a great place like Pittsburgh!!!
I also was able to reunite with Evelyn- the woman who received the heart that matches my lungs (we think) It was great to see her...she looks wonderful! Ashley was also there she is CF Cepacia lung transplant and is now over 1 year out! She was doing awesome also. I also met a Cf woman who had a lung transplant about 4 years out post transplant and is turning 59 this year! Big Hooray for her!
Anyway- SO the important information.....NO REJECTION & (so far) NO INFECTION!! My lung functions are up 5% and I weigh over 100 lbs!! Needless to say they are very pleased with my progress! The Doc said they might even be able to extend my next visit out a little longer!
Watch for pictures probably around Thursday or so! Love all of you & thank you for your support and prayers! All of you keep me going! I hope that is some small way I can make a difference in someone's life and I can share the light and miracle the Lord has blessed me with!

I saw your note. Yes, I am so excited to have a little puppy. I must be going through a mid life crisis or something (lol) but I am so excited I cant stand it. I am so happy to see that your checkup went so well. That has to be such a relief. hopefully you are able to see some pretty country at a beautiful time of year.
I will give you a call Thursday afternoon and we will see what your schedule is looking like. I also hope it was ok to borrow some of your pictures to show my family the puppies! If not, I can take them off. Talk to you soon!
