I have so many things to be Thankful for that I don't think I could list them all in just one post! I can however list a few of the greatest things I am thankful for. I am Thankful for the truth of the Gospel! I am Thankful for the person that living the principles of the Gospel has helped me become. I am Thankful to have such a wonderful family....I am thankful for my mother who made sure I had everything I needed and almost every I ever wanted. I am thankful for her support with my disease and esspecially for caring for my horses-they are truly one thing that makes me happy. I am thankful for a Father that loves me so much and was able to help heal me with the power of the Priesthood that he holds. I am thankful for a sister that loves me more than almost anyone else in the world! A sister who did all she could to help raise money and awareness to save my life for so many years. A sister who I always could count on to support me and make me feel good about myself. A sister who helped team Jamiebug truly become a sucess! I am thankful for Bryan- the man that he was when I met him....the man he was when I was sick....the man that got me through the hardest thing I ever faced in my life and I am esspecially thankful for the man he is today. I am thankful for my in-laws! I know not many people can say that truthfully....but I can! Once again-they have always loved me & done all they could to improve my life! I am thankful for all of my family...I am thankful for all the little memories and personal jokes that I have with everyone...to many to list (some of them too embarrasing to repeat)
I am Thankful that the Lord blessed me with Cystic Fibrosis. I am thankful I had such a wonderful & challenging childhood. I am Thankful that through my trials I gained a strong testimony and had my faith tested and strengthend. I am thankful to have been guided to Pittburgh. I am thankful that Paul, Dr. Pilewski, the surgeons and the nurses cared enough to take a chance and save my life!
I am Thankful for all my friends with CF and thier families....Julia, Frannie, the Miles Family, Anne, and Carol Wood. I am thankful for Dr. Groberg, Dr. McInturff and the Pocatello Medical Center staff (6th floor angels)
I am esspecially Thankful for my Donor and her family...I don't know anything about them, but I do know I love them.
Be Thankful for your happy times, but me more thankful for your hard times; because those are the times that shape and build who we are. I would not change my life for anything else in the world. I reflect on my past with mixed emotions and look forward to my life with much excitement and hope!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Hi Jamie,
I loved your Thanksgiving entry. We do have so much to be thankful for. Those of us who have dealt with chronic illness seem to really realize that and you're right, it is the hard times that make us better people.
I love your new blog look, I tried to change mine once and screwed everything up, so I am truly impressed with your blog savvy! I also really enjoyed the new slide-show of post-transplant. You give me so much hope for what can be!
I send my love and friendship! Nancy
Hi Jamie,
I found your blog through Google Alerts. I have a little granddaughter who has CF. She's 2. I hope that she grows up with the outlook that she has.
I recently met a CF mom. Her son is 38, 10 years post-transplant. We spent a couple of hours talking. She told me all about their experiences, and when she was all done, she said, "We wouldn't change a thing." He has such a wonderful testimony. He thanks God and the doctors at Duke for giving him new life.
