I have made a few new friends here in Phoenix. I have a very . . . . difficult time finding women my age, with very much in common. I have met a women a little younger than me, who seems like we will be able to hang out some. She is interested in painting, likes to swim, has a little Yorkie Mix dog, and has a pretty upbeat personality. I am learning a lot of tolerance and getting used to life outside of "Idaho". . . . different backgrounds. I am a little surprised at how I haven't made but one friend from the ward. It's a crazy strange world here~ I really think this is a good learning experience for us. We have to reach out and be outside of our comfort zone a little, well pretty much everyday. I can be who I am and love others for who they are. Anyway ~ I don't want this to come out wrong, I am an understanding person and I really am thankful for the opportunity to experience so many different personalities. I have to say one thing though. . . I am thankful for my life and where and how I was raised. It's priceless. . . . . . beautiful knowledge and foundation that I am relying on right now. Thank Goodness I had parents who loved me enough to teach me the gospel and that I was able to discover and build my own testimony of what I believe in ~ It truly is my armor.

Idaho is a great place to be raised, I would not have traded it for the world. I would not also trade my experiences of living outside of Idaho and even Utah for anything. As you said the personalities from different areas can be so different, even in the church. Just hang in there, and good luck.
