Blackfoot Crazy Train

Halloween has come and gone and it was the BUSIEST Halloween ever in my life! My family created a Spook Alley well more of a haunting. My Dad wrote a really cool story/legend of the haunting of Rachel Rose. I designed the poster (above) and the HUGE signs on the side of the train car (see pics). I also played Rachel's daughter Bethany who gets killed and drowned in a tub (see pic). We used projection animation along with live actors and a GIANT spider cellar with a moving giant spider. We had some people begging to be let out, crying, screaming, falling down, and literally terrified! It was awesome. Here is a few pics of some of our "guests". I used photoshop and put the ghost of Rachel Rose into most of the groups pictures that we took. It was a good time.
This is a shot from the video where Bethany(played by me) crawls out of the tub spewing blood from my mouth then looks up and makes eye contact. This was a very effective scene! The best scare though is when Rachel Rose's Ghost screams and then my sister(who plays Rachel Rose) pops up and scares people AGAIN! It was awesome!
Me (as Bethany), My Bestie Danie (who helped every night), and the Ghost of Rachel photo bombing!
One of our first groups. . .They are family friends. My dad is the one next to Rachel's Ghost :)
A HUGE group and one of our funnest scares!! The little kids didn't go in . . it was too scary for kids.
Again another group of many that experienced the fear. We had many groups applaud after they exited when they were able to gather their composer from screaming.

Next year we'll be bigger, have a bigger budget and hit some advertising but this year was definitely a success. Bryan ran all the sound and video from behind a curtain. . .just like "the Great OZ" haha. I also put together our super creepy and psychotic soundtrack, it even gives me the heebie jeebies. haha! Hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween!!!

My Testimony

It's hard to put into words how I feel toward my Heavenly Father and the Savior. I have so many reasons to be thankful for what I have gone through & endured. Because of my trials in life I have gained a strong testimony of Faith. I have always had Faith in the Lord and in Prayer. As I faced the decision to get a double lung transplant I had to rely on faith to make the choice.....By listening to the spirit, I was guided to Pittsburgh where my life was saved. I believe prayers are answered. I have always tried to follow the philosophy of this: If I do what the Lord expects of me, he will give me what I want & need. That has always worked for me. I Believe in MIRACLES..........My life on this earth is a miracle- I prayed on my knees for years to be healed from my lung disease. I knew that through a priesthood blessing (if it was God's will) I could be healed. So many times I thought he would heal me instantly...my faith was tested as I continued to get sick and no cure was in my future. I turned to prayer....I talked to my Heavenly Father, I cried to him and he heard me and he healed me by guiding me to Pittsburgh and guiding the surgeons hands. I learned humility, and thankfulness. I realized that we need others to lean on and we are supposed to strengthen each others testimonies. I learned that the hardest things we'll do are usually the greatest blessings in our life. I was able to experience a lot of things during surgery and I know I had comforting angels in my ICU room. THe Lord knows each of us by name and he will never leave our side. We need to remember to stay close to him and have Faith that he is watching over us. I know this for a fact! I know that following the gospel will bring us true happiness- the world will tell us otherwise, but I know I am truely happy & living the gospel has brought me that. Amen
