2014 started out pretty ordinary...
I took a CND Brisa Lite Gel certification class
THEN in February (Valentines Day) Bryan received a call from a Yamaha Shop in Norman, OK- so once we had weighed out the pros and cons we loaded a Uhaul with all of our belongings and headed to OKIE town. Our friends there were excited about the news, our families were not so excited. lol
When we moved and got settled Bryan started his new job & they immediately started sending him to more training & certifications. I was able to get hired back on at Mills Body Shop while I looked into getting my nail tech license switched from Idaho to Oklahoma. THAT was a loooooong journey. Bryan also sold his Harley FXR :( BUT bought him an '09 FATBOB
What a sexy man I have!!!
I entered a national nail art contest in "Nails Magazine" and took 5th place! I painted Norman Rockwell's "Sunset" on a nail tip.
I cannot believe how insane and unorganized the State of Oklahoma Cosmetology board is. It took me several months just to get a straight answer as to what they needed...then they told me they would require I go BACK to school to do 200 review hours. Since Idaho only required 400 hours and Oklahoma requires 600 hours. The only school I could attend was here in Norman...thank goodness, or so I thought. I enrolled at "HOLLYWOOD COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL" ha! what a joke. BUT I was able to get my 200 hours (in which I sat alone a lot and just did my own thing) I was hoping to learn something new to make it worth my time, but I was completely mistaken. I did my time and even had to retake the practical exam to appease Oklahoma. I passed with a 92%
Our year was eventful and full of change however my health was completely STABLE! I cannot complain about that. December 10th, 2014 I celebrated 7 years post transplant! My kidneys are doing good, my lungs are amazing, my weight is awesome, and my blood sugars are diet controlled. Life is good...not good, great!
*There is my quick year review...Once I set some 2015 goals I'll post them :)

Bryan was my "MODEL" I had to demonstrate a manicure, apply an acrylic sculpted tip & a fiberglass tip...then paint them red ;) he's quite an amazing husband!!
Bryan was promoted to General Manager in November however, the company he works for has too many chiefs and not enough Indians so recently they made changes again and decided Bryan was needed more in the service dept. Now he's a little unsure of the stability of the company since many of their decisions are questionable.
Once I had my work permit, I started searching for a salon to booth rent at. I found a cute little tanning salon with a great work space. I have been working on building clientele and I am enjoying every minute of it. I love what I do and I love creating my own work schedule. :)
